Forget that it’s August—autumn styles ruled the 2015 Teen Choice Awards red carpet.

Leading the fall-forward pack, Victoria Justice picked a perfectly poised emerald Herve Leger design with ample texture and fringe galore. Also up there in the best dressed bunch was Lucy Hale in a bold black and blue design (with a very deep mesh neckline), and Nina Dobrev in glitzy striped Zuhair Murad mini. Let’s not neglect Gina Rodriguez either, who delivered a delightful textured silver frock by Alberta Ferretti.

Of course, not everyone hit the mark.

We’ll cut her some slack here—Rita Ora‘s shiny red suit wouldn’t have been half as bad had it been properly fitted. But there’s no excuse for Nash Grier‘s frumpy denim getup.

Simply put, Willow Shields clunky striped ensemble didn’t resonate well, and came off as overly mature. As for Chloe Grace Moretz‘s Gucci frock, the Adam and Eve-inspired design landed the actress on the Teen Choice Awards worst dressed list for the second year in a row.
