With every awards show red carpet, there’s one recurring roundup that everyone’s mulling over at the end of the night—the best and worst dressed list.
Of course, when you’re a seasoned red carpet pro like Bella Thorne, you’re already familiar with a few insider styling tips guaranteed to land you in the best dressed roundup… or save you from a spot amongst the worst dressed bunch. And with the 2015 Teen Choice Awards this Sunday, the twice-nominated actress already has a plan to avoid any fashion faux pas.
“There are a lot of things you have to be careful about when picking out a red carpet look,” the 17-year-old dished exclusively to E! News at Wildfox‘s Fragrance Launch in West Hollywood.
“The biggest thing is you have to take flash photos of your outfit before you step out wearing it. It happens to people all the time, where the outfit doesn’t look see-through and then a flash goes off, and you can see panties, nipples and everything else. Its all out there.”
Girl has a point—while many an A-listers embraces the full-on naked effect these days, there are still quite a few overly-sheer wardrobe malfunctions. Suffice to say Bella herself hasn’t ever had a major style mishap, she did learn the harsh flash-photography lesson the hard way.
“On the carpet there was one time I was wearing green shorts, a white shirt and a cute black bra underneath with a green jacket,” she spilled. “I wanted the bra to be cute and just-noticeable, but the camera flashed and it was the only thing you saw I was like, ‘oh no, this looks terrible!'”
Still, there’s one thing that’s pretty hard to mess up on the carpet: celebs’ perfume.
“Wildfox’s perfume has a really has a cool vintage old Hollywood feel, so you can wear it on your big night out or even on a date,” Thorne said.
Guess we know which scent she’ll be sporting come Sunday.
